Redmi 9i smartphone was officially launched in the country on 15th September 2020.

Redmi 9i smartphone comes with a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It measures 164.90 x 77.07 x 9.00mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 194.00 grams. 

Redmi 9i runs Android 10 operating system. The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor that features 4 cores clocked at 1.5GHz and 4 cores clocked at 2GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The Redmi 9i supports proprietary fast charging.

As for the cameras, the Redmi 9i on the rear packs a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a pixel size of 1.0-micron. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

Redmi 9i smartphone runs MIUI based on Android 10 operating system and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB) with a dedicated slot. The device is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. It was launched in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colours.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the Redmi 9i include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer. The Redmi 9i supports face unlock.
