The Huawei Mate 40 smartphone was launched on 22nd October 2020.

Huawei Mate 40 smartphone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2376 pixels. It measures 158.60 x 72.50 x 8.80mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams. 

Huawei Mate 40 runs Android 10 operating system. The phone is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 9000E processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM and is powered by a 4200mAh battery. The Huawei Mate 40 supports proprietary fast charging.

As for the cameras, the Huawei Mate 40 on the rear packs a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture; a second 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.4 aperture.

Huawei Mate 40 runs EMUI 11 based on Android 10 operating system and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The phone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks) with active 4G on both SIM cards. 

Sensors on the Huawei Mate 40 include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. It was launched in Mystic Silver, White, Black, Yellow, and Green colours.
