Samsung has started releasing the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update for its Galaxy M30s. As per the changelog, the firmware brings features like one-time permissions, chat bubbles, new privacy controls, refreshed UI, and all the goodies of One UI 3.0.
The Samsung Galaxy M30s bears a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone is fueled by an octa-core Exynos 9611 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
The Galaxy M30s features a U-shaped notch design with a prominent bottom bezel. On the rear, it houses a triple camera setup and a physical fingerprint scanner.It now runs on Android 11-based One UI 3.0 and packs a 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy M30s packs a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/2.0) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor along with an LED flash. Up front, it has a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.
For connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy M30s offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a headphone jack and a Type-C port. It comes in Opal Black, Sapphire Blue and Pearl White colors.
The update carries version number M307FXXU4CUAG in India and has a download size of around 2GB. The firmware is being released in a phased manner via OTA method. To manually check for the update, go to Settings >Software update. The update also bumps up the Android security patch level to January 2021.
