Nubia has finally taken the wraps off its latest flagship Nubia Red Magic 6R in its home country China. The smartphone features a FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 chipset, Android 11 OS and a 4200mAh battery with 55W fast-charging support.
The Nubia Red Magic 6R features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz multi-touch sampling rate, a peak brightness of up to 770 nits, support for 10-bit colours, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, Powering the device is Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is aided with Adreno 660 GPU. The phone ships with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Nubia Red Magic 6R runs on Android 11 operating system out of the box with the company’s own MagicOS 4.0.
In terms of optics, It features a quad rear-facing camera. The rear camera module houses a 64MP IMX682 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfies and video-calling, the Red Magic 6R has a 16MP camera. Connectivity options on the handset includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 6, and more.
The handset draws power from a 4200mAh battery that has 55W fast-charging support. Other features include dual stereo speakers with DTS X Ultra, Qualcomm aptX support, a cooling system with a metallic mid-frame, superconducting copper foil, thermal gel, graphene, and VC heat sink and shoulder buttons which support a 400Hz touch sampling rate for minimizing input latency.
In China, The Nubia Red Magic 6R price ranges between CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs 30,700) and CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 45,500). The smartphone is available in three colors including Phantom Black, Stream Silver, and White. There’s also a yellow variant developed jointly with Tencent Games.
