Realme has launched a new variant of its Realme 8 5G in India. While it was previously launched in two RAM/storage options, the device has now received another model in the country. The new variant of the Realme 8 5G packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage.
The Realme 8 5G features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, maximum 600 nits brightness, and Dragontrail glass for protection.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0 skin. The device packs 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC that is made on a 7nm fabrication process. The processor is coupled with 4GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.
The storage is further expandable up to 1TB. Interestingly, the Realme 8 5G supports Dynamic RAM Expansion, which can extend the RAM by using internal storage.
As for the cameras, the smartphone has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth camera. Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie camera.
The smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. There are two SIM card slots on the device and both are able to work simultaneously with the SA/NSA network.
In terms of connectivity, the Realme 8 5G smartphone supports dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black are two color variants of the smartphone.
The new variant of the Realme 8 5G is priced at Rs 13,999 and it will go on sale in India on May 18 at 12PM. 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants of the Realme 8 5G are currently available in the country for Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively.
