Realme has announced the launch of a new variant of its Realme 8 5G handset. The new model comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. The rest of the specifications of the phone remains the same. 

The Realme 8 5G packs a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Dragontrail Glass protection. Under the hood of the phone runs MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. 

There is also UFS 2.1 storage and expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. The Realme 8 5G comes with a Dynamic RAM expansion, which the company says, helps boost the device’s RAM capacity to 5GB and 11 GB, respectively.

Realme 8 5G has a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel front camera.

The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It also comes with 18W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, dual standby 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port.

The Realme 8 5G will be available for ₹13,999. The phone comes in Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black colour options.The handset will go on sale on May 18 (12 noon onwards) via realme.com, Flipkart and mainline stores.
