Vivo Y72 5G smartphone was revealed in Indian market as the new budget 5G device offering from the Chinese tech giant. The handset debuted as the rebranded version of Vivo Y52s that was revealed back in May 2021. Vivo has already revealed Y72 5G in Thailand back in March 2021.
Vivo Y72 5G comes with a 6.58 inches IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution, 90Hz fast refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 90.6 percent screen to body ratio. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 164.15×75.35×8.40mm and weighs 185.5 grams.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G that comes coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. The device is running on Android 11 with FunTouch OS 11 on top. In terms of storage, It is accompanied by 8GB of RAM with 4GB additional virtual RAm support along with 128GB internal storage.
As for the camera department, the smartphone boasts a dual rear camera under a square camera module with round corners that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED flash. For selfies and video calls, the device has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch.
The Vivo Y72 5G comes with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity options, the smartphone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors on the phone includes an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, Gyroscope, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As for the pricing and availability, the Vivo Y72 5G comes in a solo configuration of 8GB + 128GB for Rs. 20,990. The smartphone offered in two color options namely prism magic, and slate grey. The handset is available for purchase on the Vivo India official website
