JioPhone Next was revealed in India as the new budget smartphone from Indian Tech Giant. It was announced way back in June at Jio’s 44th Annual General Meeting and the company stated that it will be available to purchase from September but later Jio released a statement that it will be available for purchase during Diwali festive season and finally the company announced it on 29 October.

JioPhone Next features a 5.45 inches HD+ display with 720 x 1440 pixels resolution, anti-fingerprint coating, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 that comes coupled with Adreno 306 GPU. It is accompanied by 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot that can be extended up to 512GB.

The JioPhone Next boasts a solo 13-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the thick bezels at the top. It comes running on Pragati OS based on the Android platform. The handset is packed with a 3500mah battery and supports proprietary charging.

For connectivity, the JioPhone Next includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard, the phone sports an accelerometer, light sensor, and proximity sensor. As this smartphone comes in partnership with Google, it comes with Google Assistant support, Read Aloud feature, and Language Translation functionality.

As for the pricing and availability, the JioPhone Next comes in a solo configuration of 2GB + 32GB priced at Rs. 6,499. Although there are custom EMI plans from Jio as well for Indian fans coupled with Top-up plans. The handset can be purchased from Diwali on November 4 in the country. Users can purchase the phone from the nearest Jio Mart digital retailer.
