Tecno Camon 18i was revealed in Nigeria silently as the new budget smartphone from the Chinese Tech Giant. The handset comes with a waterdrop notch display, MediaTek octa-core processor, triple rear camera, big battery, fast charging, and more. Tecno unveiled Camon 18, Camon 18P, and Camon 18 premier earlier this month and now the company added a new model in Camon 18 series.
Tecno Camon 18i features a 6.6 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1640 pixels ) resolution, 90Hz fast refresh rate, and 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It is accompanied by 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot up to 256GB.
The Tecno Camon 18i boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors might be a macro or depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. The device is running on Android 11 OS with the company’s custom skin on top.
The Tecno Camon 18i is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, MicroUSB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard, the smartphone sports an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As for the pricing and availbility, the tecno Camon 18i comes in a solo 4GB + 128GB configuration priced at N84,500 ( Rs. 15,400 approx ) and the company offered the smartphone in multiple colour options. The smartphone can be purchased from Tecno authorized stores across the country.
