iQOO U5 5G was revealed in China as the new affordable 5G smartphone from Vivo’s sub-brand. A few days back the company also announced iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5 SE as affordable flagship phones. The new device comes with a fast refresh rate OLED display, dual rear camera, big battery, fast charging, Qualcomm’s 600 series 5G chipset, and more.

iQOO U5 5G features a 6.58 inches OLED display, Full-HD+ resolution, HDR 10, and 120Hz fast refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone comes powered with a Snapdragon 695 octa-core SoC that comes coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. It is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.

The iQOO U5 5G boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. As for the software, the device is running on Android 12 with Origin OS Ocean skin on top.

The iQOO U5 5G is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity options, the smartphone includes Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, 5G, 4G LTE, USB TYPE-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of dimensions, it measures 164 x 75.8 x 8.3mm and weighs 185 grams. Sensors onboard, the device sports an accelerometer, proximity, compass, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As for the pricing and availability, the iQOO U5 comes in three configurations:- 4GB + 128GB priced at 1,299 yuan, 6GB + 128GB priced at 1,399 yuan and 8GB + 128GB priced at 1,499 yuan. The smartphone comes in three color options namely Magic Blue, Dark Black, and Silver White. The device is currently available for pre-order and will go for sale from January 1.
