Oppo has unveiled its newest edition for Oppo Reno 7 5G smartphone in China. This New Year Edition is a special edition available only in the country. Moreover, this new edition is available in an all-new bright red colour option. It also has a special logo etched on the back panel. If we recall, the phone has already launched in China but is yet to launch globally.
But the difference lies in the colour option for this special edition. The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition comes in a special colour – Velvet Red. The smartphone also has a tiger logo etched next to the rear camera module. Additionally, Chinese tech giant, Oppo mentioned that it etched the Tiger logo at the back panel as 2022 is considered the Year of the Tiger in China.
The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. In addition, the display sports a fast 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. In terms of software, the handset runs on Android 11 OS with the ColorOS 12 custom skin on top.
The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition sports a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. At the front, the Oppo Reno 7 5G flaunts a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The handset also packs a 4,500mAh battery. This rated battery capacity pairs up with 65W fast charging support.
The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition comes with a price tag of CNY 2,699 for the 8GB/128GB variant. This converts to roughly Rs. 31,500 in the Indian currency. Further, the vanilla model also comes in an 8GB/256GB option as well which is priced at CNY 2,999. Now, this converts to around Rs. 35,000 in India. There is a 12GB RAM variant as well which is priced at CNY 3,299 which is approximately Rs. 38,500.
