Samsung unveiled a new A-series smartphone in Russia, Galaxy A22s 5G. It is the rebrand version of Samsung Galaxy A22 that was launched in India in July this year. Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G comes with a 48MP triple rear camera sensor, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and a gigantic 5,000mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G comes with a 6.6-inch full-HD+ TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2409 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of design, it brings a waterdrop style notch front penal and has a square-shaped camera module on the back. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset along with Mali G57 GPU.
The Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G features a triple rear camera setup that houses a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 5MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the front, users get an 8MP front facing camera with an f/2.0 lens. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports a 15W fast charging technology.
The Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. For more storage, there is memory expansion feature through a microSD card (up to 1TB). Connectivites are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS and USB Type-C port. The dimensions are 167.2 x 76.4 x 9.0mm and weighs around 203 grams. The dual-SIM supporting smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with OneUI skin on the top.
The company has not yet announced the pricing and availability details of the smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G comes in two variants 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The smartphone is available in Mint, Gray, and White color options.
