JioPhone 5G specifications and pricing have been tipped along with the launch timeline. The smartphone has been tipped to come with LCD display, Qualcomm entry-level 5G chipset, dual rear camera, big battery, fast charging, and more. Jio Next was revealed back in October last year 2021 is one of the cheapest entry-level Android smartphones in the market and now the company is planning to launch the cheapest 5G device.

As per the Androidcentral report, JioPhone 5G will feature a 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone will come powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. It will be accompanied by 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the JioPhone 5G will boast a dual rear camera that may include a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with Full-HD video recording @60 frames per second. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone may sport an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The JioPhone 5G will pack a 5000mah battery and may support 18W fast charging. For connectivity options, the smartphone may include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NavIC, and USB Type-C port. In terms of OS software, the handset will come running on Android 11 out of the box and may sport a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.

JioPhone 5G is going to be the cheapest 5G smartphone so it may cost less than Rs. 14,000 as there are other device offerings in this price range and it is expected to come between Rs. 9,000 and Rs. 12,000 for the base variant. The smartphone is available in Black color. The report said Reliance Jio may announce the 5G plans and the 5G phone at this year's annual shareholder meeting that is slated for June.
