Chinese tech company, OPPO has launched its much-anticipated Find X5 series globally. The line-up includes the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro models. The series starts at €999 (roughly Rs. 84,400) for the 8GB/256GB of the vanilla X5. The handsets will be first introduced in Europe and then in other regions. Pre-booking for the smartphones starts today. They will go on sale from March 14.
OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro are the company's first flagship smartphones of 2022 and they will take on rivals such as the Xiaomi 12 series and Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The handsets aim to attract buyers with features such as a high refresh rate AMOLED screen, Hasselblad color calibration, top-tier processors, 80W fast-charging, and the latest software support.
The OPPO Find X5 sports a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display, while the Find X5 Pro sports a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) LTPO 2.0 AMOLED screen They offer up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The OPPO Find X5 series features a punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the OPPO Find X5 series is equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, comprising a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP telephoto sensor. Up front, they sport a 32MP selfie snapper. On the front software, They boot Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box.
The OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, respectively, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The former packs a 4,800mAh battery with 80W wired and 30W wireless fast-charging, while the latter houses a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging.
For official pricing and availability, the OPPO Find X5 is priced at €999 (roughly Rs. 84,400) for the sole 8GB/256GB variant, while the X5 Pro carries a price-tag of €1,299 (around Rs. 1.09 lakh) for the sole 12GB/256GB model. The series will be available in two colours; Ceramic White and Glazed Black. They will be available for purchase from March 14.
