Huawei Nova 9 SE was revealed as the budget 4G smartphone in Malaysia and China. It arrives as the successor of the Nova 8 SE which was revealed back in November last year. As for the key highlight, the Nova 9 SE comes with a fast refresh rate punch-hole display, Qualcomm’s octa-core chipset, quad rear camera, 4G connectivity, considerable battery, fast charging, and more.

Huawei Nova 9 SE flaunts a 6.78 inches IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2388 pixels ) resolution, 90Hz fast refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, The device comes powered with a Snapdragon 680 octa-core chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU. It is accompanied by 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB onboard storage. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 164.6 x 75.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs 191 grams.

In terms of optics, the Huawei Nova 9 SE features a quad rear camera that includes a 108-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel selfie sensor under the punch-hole at the top center. The handset is packed with a 4000mah battery and supports 66W fast charging.

Like other Huawei devices, it doesn’t come with Google Mobile Services instead it comes preloaded with EMUI 12 with Huawei Mobile Services. For connectivity options, the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard, the device sports an accelerometer, gyro, compass, Virtual proximity sensing, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. 

For pricing and availability, Huawei Nova 9 SE comes in a solo configuration of 8GB + 128GB priced at RM 1099 ( Rs. 20,100 approx ) and the smartphone comes in three color options namely Crystal Blue, Pearl White, and Midnight Black. While the Chinese tech company offered the phone in two variants 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB in China.
