Motorola had unveiled the Moto G22 in Europe just a few days back. Now, latest reports speculate that the smartphone is set to launch in India by April 20. As for the key highlight, Moto’s latest smartphone features a 6.5-inch Max Vision display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, a quad-camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Motorola Moto G22 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ and a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display panel has a pixel density of 269 PPI, 20:9 aspect ratio, with thinner bezels on all sides. The screen sports a water-drop-shaped notch which houses a selfie camera. Additionally, the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with face unlock support that works via the selfie camera.
When it comes to cameras, the Motorola Moto G22 boasts of a quad-camera setup, which includes a 48MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP wide-angle camera along with a pair of 2MP depth and macro cameras. For the selfies and video callings, the G22 comes with a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. In terms dimensions, the handset measures 163.95 x 74.94 x 8.49 mm and weighs 185g.
The Motorola Moto G22 runs Android 12 OS out of the box. It is powered by an octa-core Helio G37 processor and comes with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. The device comes with a 5,000mAh battery that has fast charging support. The handset also has a microSD card slot. Furthermore, connectivity-wise, Motorola’s latest offering supports features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm audio jack, along with a USB Type-C port.
For official pricing and availability, the price of the Motorola Moto G22 in India is speculated to be ₹14,190. Rumours suggest that the smartphone could launch in the country on April 20. The handset will be available in the following colour variants—Pearl White, Iceberg Blue, and Cosmic Black.
