OPPO A16e was announced in India as the new entry level device from the Chinese tech Giant. The company recently unveiled two more budget 4G smartphones namely Oppo A76 4G and A96 4G. The handset comes with a waterdrop notch display, MediaTek entry level octa-core chipset, solo rear camera, big battery, and more.

OPPO A16e bears a 6.52 inches LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 269PPI pixel density, 480nits brightness levels, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and 89.27% screen to body ratio. In terms of Dimensions, the smartphone measures 164 x 75.4 x 7.85 mm and weighs 175 grams. 

In terms of camera department, the OPPO A16e boasts a solo rear camera that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 80-degree Field of View. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 5-megapxel front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture under the waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, the OPPO A16e is powered with a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core SoC that comes coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is accompanied by 3GB/4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB/64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot up to 1TB. 

On the front software, the OPPO A16e comes running on Android 11 OS out of the box with Color OS 11.1 skin on top. It is packed with a 4230mah battery and supports 10W charging. For connectivity options, the smartphone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 

As per the report, Oppo A16e comes in two configurations: 3GB + 32GB priced at Rs. 9,990 and 4GB + 64GB priced at Rs. 11,990. It is officially listed on the company's website but details regarding its official pricing and availability are yet to be revealed. The company offered the phone in three color options namely Midnight Black, Blue, and White.
