Xiaomi sub-brand POCO has launched the X4 Pro 5G model as its latest mid-range device in India. The smartphone will go on sale from April 5 onward via Flipkart. The India-specific POCO X4 Pro 5G is mostly identical to the global variant that was announced last month. It carries a starting price of Rs. 18,999 for the base 6GB/64GB variant.

The X4 Pro 5G is the latest addition to the X series of handsets by POCO. The device was first unveiled at the MWC 2022 event. In terms of hardware, the Indian variant offers a 64MP main camera on the back while the global model boasts a 108MP shooter. In India, the X4 Pro 5G takes on mid-rangers from Realme, Samsung, Vivo, and OnePlus.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,200-nits of peak brightness, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The device flaunts a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a triple camera setup and an LED flash.

In terms of optics, the POCO X4 Pro 5G features a triple camera arrangement on the rear, comprising a 64MP (f/1.9) main camera, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. On the front, it has a 16MP (f/2.4) camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone can record 1080p videos at 30fps via the front as well as back cameras.

Under the hood, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is fueled by a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and boots Android 11 OS out of the box with MIUI 13 on top. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast-charging. The smartphone comes in 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB configurations with up to 1TB of expandable storage. The device also gets virtual RAM support and stereo speakers.

For pricing and availability, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant. The 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models cost Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 21,999, respectively. It can be purchased in POCO Yellow, Laser Black, and Laser Blue color options. The handset will be available via e-commerce platform store Flipkart from April 5. Buyers can avail Rs. 1,000 discount via HDFC Bank cards.
