Redmi K50 Pro smartphone was announced in China along with Redmi K50 as the successor to the Redmi K40 series which was announced back in February 2021. As for the key highlights, the handset comes with a 2k OLED punch-hole display, a 120Hz fast refresh rate, MediaTek octa-core chipset, triple rear camera, big battery, super-fast charging, and more.
Redmi K50 Pro bears a 6.67 inches flexible OLED display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate, 2k resolution, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR10/10+ support, corning gorilla glass victus, DCI-P3 color gamut, and DisplayMate A+ rating. At the heart, it comes running on Android 12 with MIUI 13 skin on top. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 163.1 x 76.15 x 8.48mm and weighs 201 grams.
Under the hood, the Redmi K50 Pro comes powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 that comes coupled with Mali-G710 GPU. It is accompanied by 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB internal UFS 3.1 storage. For connectivity options, it includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GNSS, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone comes equipped with a 5000mah battery and supports 120W fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Redmi K50 Pro features a triple rear camera that includes a 100-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 119-degree Field of View, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top center.
Sensors onboard, the Redmi K50 Pro sports an Ultrasonic Distance Sensor, 360° Ambient Light Sensor, Acceleration Sensor, Ambient Color Temperature Sensor, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Infrared Remote Control, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the device includes VC Liquid Cooling, stereo speakers with Dolby Vision Atmos support, and 2×2 MIMO support.
For pricing and availability, the Redmi K50 Pro comes in four configurations: 8GB + 128GB priced at 2999 yuan, 8GB + 256GB priced at 3,299 yuan, 12GB + 256GB priced at 3,599 yuan and 12GB + 512GB priced at 3,999 yuan. It comes in four color options namely ink feather, dim light, silver traces, and milk mirror. The smartphone is available for pre-orders and will go for sale on March 22 in China.
