South Korean tech giant, Samsung is set to introduce the Galaxy M33 5G handset in India on April 2 at 12:00pm. The company confirmed the launch date in a dedicated microsite on its and Amazon India and official website. Interested buyers can click on the "Notify Me" button on these sites to get an alert when the sale starts. Notably, the smartphone made its global debut earlier this month.
Samsung is ready to take on India's highly competitive mid-range segment with the Galaxy M33 5G, which claims to have some segment-best features. Although the smartphone was unveiled globally earlier this month, the company has managed to keep certain key details still under the wraps. This has piqued the public curiosity regarding the smartphone. India-specific M33 may have some differences from its global counterpart.
The Samsung Galaxy M33 5Gpacks a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) TFT LCD display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone sports a waterdrop notch design, a prominent bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has a square-shaped camera unit on the rear.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G will be fueled by an unspecified 5nm octa-core 2.4GHz SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. At the heart, it runs on Android 12-based One UI 4.1. For connectivity options, the smartphone offers support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5G and a Type-C port.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G flaunts a quad rear camera module, comprising a 50MP (f/1.8) primary snapper, a 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP (f/2.2) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.2) depth shooter. Up front, it has an 8MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper. The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support.
The official pricing and availability details of the Galaxy M33 5G in India will be announced by the company at the time of its launch on April 2. For reference, in Germany, it starts at €349 (roughly Rs. 29,300) for the 6GB/128GB model. The smartphone is available in Green, Blue, and Brown color options.
