Vivo Y01 was announced as the new budget smartphone from the Chinese tech company. The device is listed on the official African website with detailed specs. The phone has a similar appearance in terms of design to the Vivo Y15s which was revealed last month. The handset comes with a waterdrop notch display, MediaTek entry-level chipset, single rear camera, big battery, and more. 

Vivo Y01 features a 6.51 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor that comes coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is accompanied by 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28mm and weighs 178 grams. 

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y01 sports a solo 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel sensor under the waterdrop notch with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. On the front software, The smartphone comes running on Android 11 GO edition with Funtouch OS 11.1 skin on top.

The Vivo Y01 is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 10W charging.  For connectivity options, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.  Sensors onboard, the handset sports an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, and virtual Gyroscope.

The Chinese tech company offered the Vivo Y01 in two color options namely Elegant Black, and Sapphire Blue. The new Y-series device will be available in several African countries, Although, the official pricing and availability of the smartphone is note revealed yet. We have no information regarding the device's India debut yet.
