Xiaomi has expanded its mid-range device lineup with the launch of the Redmi K50 in China. It sports a 2K Dolby Vision OLED display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity processor. The handset sports a 48MP camera and it comes with 67W fast charging support. It comes with a starting price tag of RMB 2,399 (Rs 28,681) and it will go on sale in China starting March 22.

The Xiaomi Redmi K50 comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.67-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1440x3200 pixels. The display sports Gorilla Glass for protection. It comes with 8GB of RAM. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on Android 12 OS and is powered by a 5500mAh non-removable battery. The device supports proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi K50 on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera; an 8-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring a 20-megapixel sensor.

On the front software, the Xiaomi Redmi K50 runs MIUI 13 is based on Android 12 OS out of the box and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 163.10 x 76.15 x 8.48mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 8.48 grams. 

For connectivity options on the Xiaomi Redmi K50 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.30, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks) , and 5G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the smartphone include ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass/ magnetometer. The smartphone comes in Black, Silver, Iridescent, and Green colour options.
