Oppo has debuted a new budget mid-range device called the Oppo A55s (2022) in China. It is a new version of the smartphone that went official last year and has the same name. As for the key highlights, it features 5G connectivity, MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, triple rear cameras, and decent battery size to keep lights on all day.
The Oppo A55s 5G (2022) sports a 6.5-inch HD+ punch-hole display with a dotted notch. Under the hood, the smartphone has the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. Both the variants are available with the same 128GB storage along with support for microSD cards for storage expansion purposes.
In terms of optics, there is a triple-camera module featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera on the smartphone is an 8-megapixel sensor housed inside the notch. On the front software, it will run ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that should last at least a day with ease. It is supported by 10W fast charging which should take a lot of time to charge it completely. Other noteworthy features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As for the official pricing and availability, the Oppo A55s 5G (2022) smartphone is priced at CNY 1,199 for the 8GB/128GB model. There are no words on the pricing of the 6GB/128GB model. The handset comes in Brisk Blue, Rhythm Black, and Temperament Gold colour options.
