Oppo A57 is the company’s latest 5G smartphone which has been announced in China. It is the successor to the Oppo A56 which was launched last year 2021. There’s no information when the handset will be available for other markets. The smartphone’s key highlights features are a 6.56-inch 90Hz display, a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, Android 12 OS supports, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging technology.
In terms of display and design, the Oppo A57 5G comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 90Hz touch sampling rate. The display carries 720 x 1612 pixels resolution. The handset has a waterdrop notch at top of the display and a rectangular-shaped camera module on the backside. On the front software, the device runs on Android 12 based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box.
In terms of optics, Oppo A57 5G gets an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calling. It is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the right and has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. On the camera front, it brings a dual-camera setup that houses a 13MP main sensor with an f2.2 lens, and a 2MP portrait sensor. For the selfies and video callings, the smartphone has arrived with an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 lens.
Under the hood, the Oppo A57 5G has provided an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC along with Mali G57 MC2 GPU. The smartphone comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a memory expansion feature via a microSD card. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 163.8 x 75.1 x 7.99mm and weighs 186 grams.
The Oppo A57 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The dual-SIM (nano) supporting smartphone has 5G connectivity. Other notable features are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.2, and GPS.
For pricing and availability, the Oppo A57 5G comes with two RAM options – the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant carries a price tag of CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 17,900). However, the pricing detail of the 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant is yet to be revealed. The handset comes in three color options, i.e. Blue, Black, and Lilac. It is currently available for pre-orders in China.
