Chinese tech company, Realme launched its new truly wireless earphones, called the Realme Buds Air 3. These are follow-ups to the company’s Realme Buds Air 2, which were launched last year. The Realme Buds Air 3 bring a slightly newer design, improved ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), better audio quality, and longer battery life. These earphones were launched in China last month.

The Realme Buds Air 3 uses a Bluetooth 5.2 chip with support for AAC and SBC audio codecs. The earphones also feature Realme’s own R3 chip for things like quicker pairing, onboard equalizer settings, and updatable firmware. The earphones feature a low-latency mode that offers an audio latency of 88ms for a better experience while playing games and watching videos.

The Realme Buds Air 3 Truly Wireless Earphones now support multipoint connection, which means that you can connect to two different devices (laptop and handset) simultaneously. This is a really nice feature to have at this price point. Even higher-end truly wireless earphones from brands like Samsung and OnePlus lack this feature.

The company’s new earphones are IPX5 rated for sweat and water splash resistance. They also feature automatic wear detection for playing or pausing music based on whether or not you’re wearing the earphones. There are touch controls, too, and you can customize them through the Realme Link app, which is available on Android and iOS smartphones.

The Realme Buds Air 3 use 10mm drivers and the company says that it has tuned the earphones for punchy bass. The earphones have three microphones on each side for ANC. The company claims that the Realme Buds Air 3 can reduce up to 42dB of unwanted background audio. You can switch between three modes: ANC Off, ANC On, and Transparency.

The Realme Buds Air 3 claim to offer up to 30 hours of music playback on a single charge. The case, which is pebble-shaped and has a 460mAh battery, is quite small and features a USB Type-C port for fast charging (100 minutes of audio with 10 minutes of charging). The earphones are available in Starry Blue and Galaxy White colour variants.

For official pricing and availability, the Realme Buds Air 3 price in India is ₹3,999, but the company is offering a limited-time discount of ₹500. This means that you can get them for just ₹3,499 via e-commerce platform store Flipkart and Realme’s online store. The Realme Buds Air 3 will go on sale starting April 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
