Vivo X Fold was announced as the first foldable handset from the Chinese tech Giant. As for the key highlights, it comes with Rheinland durability certification which justifies the hinge durability, dual fast refresh rate OLED display, Qualcomm’s flagship processor, quad rear camera with Zeiss optics, big battery, fast charging, and more.

Vivo X Fold bears an 8.09 inches E5 LTPO OLED 3.0 internal display with 120Hz fast refresh rate, 2k resolution, HDR10+, 113 percent DCI P3 color gamut, and 4:3.5 aspect ratio. It also has an external 6.53 inches E5 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The company has also stated that the smartphone has passed the TUV Rheinland durability test in which the phone was folded 3 lakh times and there is no issue.

In terms of optics, the Vivo X Fold sports a quad rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with f/1.75 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization support, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel portrait lens, and a 5-megapixel telescope lens with 5x optical zoom and 60x hybrid zoom. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole on both internal and external displays.

Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold is powered with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with an Adreno 730 GPU. The handset comes running on Android 12 OS out of the box with the company’s custom skin on top. It is accompanied by 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage. The device is packed with a 4600mah battery and supports 66W fast charging, and supports 50W fast wireless charging. 

For official pricing and availability, the Vivo X Fold comes in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB priced at 8,999 yuan ( Rs. 1,07,800 approximately) and 12GB + 512GB priced at 9,999 yuan ( Rs. 1, 19,800 approximately). The smartphone comes in three color options namely Black, Blue, and Gray. The device will go for sale on 22 April but it is available for pre-orders in China.
