Vivo X80 is set to launch in the global markets on May 8. The launch of the device from Vivo was teased on the Vivo Malaysia Twitter page. The Vivo X80 was launched in China recently. It offers 6.78-inch touchscreen display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, and a triple camera setup The handset comes in three colour options.

The Vivo X80 bears a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.78-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels (FHD+) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The handset runs Android 12 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery. It supports proprietary fast charging.

In terms of camera department, the Vivo X80 on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel (f/1.75) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.0) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/2.0) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.

On the front software, the Vivo X80 runs OriginOS Ocean is based on Android 12 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 164.95 x 75.23 x 8.30mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 203.00 grams.

For connectivity options on the Vivo X80 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.30, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) , and 5G. Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, compass/ magnetometer, and in-display fingerprint sensor.
