Oppo Reno 8 Pro has been launched in China on May 24. The handset will be available at a starting price of CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 29,000), and will go on sale from June 1. As for the key highlights, the device offers a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.62-inch touchscreen display, octa-core Qualcomm processor, a triple camera setup, and a 4500mAh battery.
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.62-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels (FHD+) at a pixel density of 397 pixels per inch (ppi). The display sports Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The handset is powered by a 4500mAh battery. The device supports proprietary fast charging.
In terms of optics, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera; an 8-megapixel (f/2.2, ultra wide-angle) camera, and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4, macro) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
On the software front, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro runs ColorOS 12.1 is based on Android 12 OS out of the box and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The handset measures 161.00 x 74.20 x 7.57mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams. The device supports face unlock.
Connectivity options on the Oppo Reno 8 Pro smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, and USB Type-C. Sensors on the handset include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The device was launched in Black, Blue, and Multicolour colours.
