Vivo has been launched another pocket-friendly smartphone in the Indian market, called Vivo Y01. As for the key highlights, the handset comes with a 6.51-inch IPS display, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery. However, the Chinese tech company has provided only a 2GB of RAM variant for the handset. 

The Vivo Y01 features a 6.51-inch HD+ Halo Full-View display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display carries a 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a waterdrop notch on the front penal and a rectangular-shaped camera module on the backside. the dual-SIM supporting smartphone runs on Android 11 based FunTouch OS 11.1 out of the box. The dimensions are 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28mm and weighs around 178 grams.

The Vivo Y01 comes with a single camera module on the rear including an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens. On the front panel, there’s a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens. It has a Face Wake feature to unlock the phone. Onboard sensors are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and e-compass. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging. 

For hardware and performance, the Vivo Y01 is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The smartphone has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage capacity can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 1TB). On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB port. 

For official pricing and availability, the Vivo Y01 smartphone is priced in India at Rs. 8,999 for the single 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage model. The smartphone is available in two color options, i.e. Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue. It will be available through Vivo E-Store and offline retail stores across India.
