Vivo Y55 4G was announced in Vietnam as the new budget 4G smartphone from the Chinese Tech Company. The 5G version of the handset was already revealed earlier this year in China with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It has identical specifications to the Vivo T1 44W which was unveiled yesterday in India. The device comes with a dewdrop notch AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s 600 series octa-core chipset, Triple rear camera, big battery, fast charging, and more.
Vivo Y55 4G features 6.44 inches AMOLED display, 60Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 408 PPI pix density. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor that comes coupled with an Adreno 610 GPU. It is paired with 8GB of RAM with up to 4GB of extended RAM support and 128GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
In terms of camera department, the Vivo Y55 4G boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the U-shaped notch. The device is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 44W fast charging.
On the front software, the Vivo Y55 4G comes running on Android 12 out of the box with Funtouch OS 12 skin on top. For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, the Vivo Y55 4G comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor. The device is 8.42mm thick and weighs around 182 grams.
As for the official pricing and availability, Vivo Y55 4G comes in a solo configuration of 8GB + 128GB priced at VND 6,990,000 ( Rs. 23,300 approx ). The smartphone comes in two color options namely Snow White and Black Star. The device is available for pre-order and will go for sale starting on May 11 in China.
