Tecno POP 6 smartphone was announced in Nigeria as the new entry-level device from the Chinese Tech Company. It is the successor of the POP 5 which was unveiled last year 2021. As for the key highlights, the new handset comes with a dewdrop notch display, a dual rear camera, a big battery, a quad-core chipset, and more.
Tecno POP 6 flaunts a 6.1 inches IPS LCD pane with an HD+ (720 x 1560 pixels) resolution, and U-shaped notch display. Under the hood, the smartphone is fueled by an unknown quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz frequency. It is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
Coming to optics, the Tecno POP 6 features a dual rear camera including 5-megapixel and a secondary sensor along with an LED flash. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel front facing camera under dewdrop notch. The device comes running on Android 11 Go edition with company’s custom skin on top.
The Tecno POP 6 is packed with a 5000mah battery and doesn’t support fast charging. For connectivity options, the smartphone includes dual sim 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 157.8 x 73.84 x 9.7mm.
For official pricing and availability, the Tecno POP 6 is priced at ₦52,700 ( Rs. 9,800 approx ) in Nigeria and the company offered the smartphone comes in three color options namely Sea Bluet, Sky Blue, and Lime Green. The phone is available in Nigeria for now and there is no confirmation regarding the availability in other countries.
