2PM personnel Hwang Chansung and his wife are officially parents. Tuesday July 26, 2022, representatives of Chansung's agency, L'July Entertainment announced that 2PM's Chansung had just been blessed with a daughter. "Hwang Chansung's wife has just given birth to a child. Both mother and child are in good health," he was quoted as saying by Soompi.
Previously at the end of 2021 Chansung posted a handwritten letter on Instagram containing a notification about plans to marry his pregnant fiancé after serving in the military. In his letter Chansung said he would get married in early 2022. However, due to Covid-19 the wedding ceremony was postponed. "The blessing of a new life came to us earlier than expected," said Chansung.
Chansung's wife who is 8 years older than him is not from the entertainment world. Their closeness had existed for more than 5 years before finally getting married. Despite having children, Chansung plans to continue his activities. He will also attend the VIP premiere of Hansan: The Appearance of the Dragon which will be held on Tuesday (July 26, 2022, tonight.
His presence is believed to be in support of another 2PM member, Ok Taecyeon, who plays Im Jun Young in the film. Chansung is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. Joined in 2PM, he debuted as an actor in the comedy series Unstoppable High Kick in 2006 and has since starred in Japanese dramas.
