Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has announced its new Redmi 10 5G in Thailand and Indonesia. It is an entry-level device that comes with 5G connectivity. The handset features are a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, a 6GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It comes with a waterdrop notch display and also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 10 5G comes with a 6.58-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and Gorilla Glass protection. The display carries a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone has arrived with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM. It has a dual-SIM slot and the device runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
The Redmi 10 5G has a dual camera module on the back with an LED flash. The back penal has a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. In terms of front camera, it gets a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calling. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9mm and weighs around 200 grams. For storage, it brings up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that is further expandable via a microSD card.
The Redmi 10 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, however, the device comes with a 22.5W charger. The smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock. It offers a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other connectivity options features are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, and GPS.
For pricing and availability, the Redmi 10 5G smartphone has been priced at IDR 2,699,000 (approximately Rs. 14,300) for the 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage model, while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model carries a price tag of IDR 2,899,000 (approximately Rs. 15,400). It is available in three color options, i.e. Aurora Green, Chrome Silver, and Graphite Grey.
