The MTV Europe Music Awards 2022 officially announced the list of categories and nominations, Wednesday October 12, 2022. In the prestigious music award event, Harry Styles was listed as the most dominating musician at the 2022 MTV EMA with a total of up to seven nominations.
The song As It Was from the album Harry's House made another achievement, thanks to which Harry Styles received two nominations, namely Best Song and Best Video. This was followed by the name Harry Styles in five other categories, namely Best Artist, Best Live, Best Pop, Biggest Fans, and the last one was Best UK & Ireland Act. In the Best UK category, Harry Styles competed with Adele, Lewis Capaldi, Dave, and Cat Burns.
While in the Biggest Fans category, he had to compete with Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, as well as the two major K-Pop groups in the world with the largest number of fans, namely BTS and Blackpink. Overall this year's MTV EMA consists of 19 categories including a new category called Longform Video.

Harry Styles' popularity is also inseparable from his career path when he joined the boy band One Direction which started in 2010.
