TXT recently released a new album titled The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION. The album managed to set a new record on the Billboard chart. Billboard officially announced the album The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION debuted at the first position of the Billboard 200 chart. This chart is a ranking list of the most popular albums in the United States.
The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION also managed to become the album with the biggest sales in the United States in the first week. The previous record was held by Taylor Swift through Midnights in November 2022. Based on data from Luminate (formerly known as Nielsen Music), The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION sold the equivalent of 161 thousand album units during the week to February 2 2023.
This score consists of 152 thousand physical album sales and 9 thousand streams equivalent to album sales. TXT has officially become the fifth K-Pop group to top the Billboard 200 chart. Previously, only BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, and BLACKPINK had managed to top the prestigious chart in the United States.
Not only that, TXT is also the second group with seven different albums to make it to the Billboard 200 chart. Previously, BTS was the only one who held the record. Along with the release of the album The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, TXT also released the MV for their main song, Sugar Rush Ride. This MV stole the attention of MOA, especially MOA Indonesia, because the MV was filmed in Bali.
This is evident from the information under the MV teaser which says TXT and BigHit Entertainment are working with local production, Bali Prod. In addition, the members also revealed that they were directly shooting the MV in Bali through a behind-the-scenes video of the MV shooting uploaded on TXT 's official YouTube account.
