South Korean boy group TXT managed to bring home their first music show trophy for their latest song " Sugar Rush Ride ." They won this victory at the M Countdown program which was broadcast on Thursday February 2, 2023. M Countdown itself is a music program from South Korea which is broadcast by Mnet every Thursday at 18.00 KST or 16.00 WIB.
On this latest broadcast hosted by (G)I-DLE's Miyeon and Yuqi, TXT with "Sugar Rush Ride" and NewJeans with "OMG" were selected as the first place candidates for this week. At the end, TXT is known to have succeeded in occupying the number 1 position with a score of 6,870 points.
The score includes 1,370 points for digital sales, 1,500 points for album sales, 1,000 points for social media, 1,500 points for pre-voting, 500 points for broadcast scores, and 1,000 points for live voting. After receiving the trophy, TXT then delivered their acceptance speech. Quoted from Soompi, Hueningkai began by giving thanks to agency founder Bang Si Hyuk, who worked on their latest album, as well as other BIGHIT MUSIC families and managers.
Then Soobin added, "Above all, our most precious MOA for whom we are most grateful. Your happiness is our happiness, so I hope you are always happy and healthy. Thank you always, we will work hard. Thank you!" At the end, Yeonjun said, "MOA, thank you and I love you. To all our staff members, thank you."
On the other hand, NewJeans with the song "OMG" which took second place managed to get a total of 5,600 points. The score includes 5,000 points for digital sales, 11 points for album sales, 36 points for social media, 27 points for pre-voting, 500 points for broadcast scores, and 26 points for live voting.
Meanwhile, this week's episode of M Countdown was enlivened by various cool performances from NCT 127, TXT, VIVIZ, Lee Seung Yoon, cignature, XG, Kim Jong Seo, H1-KEY, Lee Jiyoung, 8TURN, Ryu Jihyun, AIMERS, PRIMROSE, and UNI.
