Super Junior's Siwon represented his agency SM Entertainment and participated in the world's largest conservation campaign event 'Earth Hour' which was held on March 25, 2023. Quoting from Allkpop on Monday March 27, 2023, 'Earth Hour' is a global conservation event that was first carried out in 2007 by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), namely the largest non-profit nature conservation organization in the world.

They are promoting a campaign to turn off the lights for one hour starting at 20.30 every March 25 each year. This year they held the campaign at landmarks in 190 countries, including the Eiffel Tower in France, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia, as well as several places in South Korea , namely Namsan Seoul Tower and Hangang Bridge.

To support the implementation of the campaign, Siwon attended the relay live broadcast of the 'While You Turned Off The Lights' campaign which was broadcast on WWF Korea's Instagram account at 20.20 KST, ten minutes before the Earth Hour celebration. In the live broadcast, Siwon expressed his support for earth protection activities together with Hong Jung Wook - leader of WWF Korea and broadcaster Ahn Hyun Mo.

In particular, Siwon invited the public to participate in the Earth Hour campaign in protecting the earth. "The first step is important to respond to the climate crisis. On this occasion, I will try and continue to actively carry out (conservation actions) even through simple efforts for the earth," said Siwon.

He continued, "If everyone watching the program does the same, I hope that the number of participants will increase even more next year, and even more so next year." Meanwhile, SM Entertainment has consistently taken the lead in ESG management, such as joining the UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) sustainability management initiative as the first Korean entertainment agency.

They also publish sustainability management reports, and are certified to the international standard ISO 14001 (environmental management). Participation in 'Earth Hour' is even more meaningful because they have carried out various activities around the world, such as being selected as goodwill ambassadors and global leaders of the next generation of UNICEF 'Next Generation'.
