Singer Dua Lipa has officially joined the cast in the latest film by director Greta Gerwig , Barbie. This British pop star announced his role in the live action film through an upload on his personal Instagram account @ dualipa on Tuesday April 4, 2023. In the picture shared, she appears to be playing the mermaid version of Barbie.
Wearing an all-blue wig and outfit against a purple background, Dua Lipa looks dazzling. "This Barbie is a mermaid!!," he wrote. Not only playing a role in Barbie, Dua Lipa is also rumored to be filling in the soundtrack for the film which will be released on July 21, 2023, although until now there has been no official confirmation regarding this.
Apart from Dua Lipa, several other well-known actors and actresses also starred in the film with the main stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, such as Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emma Mackey. Nicola Coughlan, Will Ferrell, and Michael Cera.
