BLACKPINK's Jennie Acting Debut on The Idol, This Support Jisoo, Rose and Lisa

BLACKPINK's Jennie successfully made her acting debut by starring in the series The Idol. The Pink Venom singer chose Jennie Ruby Jane, which was taken from her Instagram username as a stage name. The series directed by Sam Levinson was shown for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday May 22, 2023 local time. 

BLACKPINK's Jennie was present with a number of her co-stars The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, to Troye Sivan. After attending the Cannes Film Festival, BLACKPINK's Jennie underwent an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight. Where he revealed the support given by the personnel for his acting debut in the Hollywood scene.

It was revealed that The Idol's filming schedule clashed with BLACKPINK's music video shoot last year. As is known, BLACKPINK released two video clips from the BORN PINK album namely Pink Venom and Shut Down. But BLACKPINK's Jennie showed her professionalism and succeeded in working on both. 

The personnel also sent support for BLACKPINK's Jennie, who had to go back and forth between South Korea and the United States. "When I was filming The Idol last year, it was also when we were shooting the music video for our new album, BORN PINK. So they kept asking me how I was every day. 

They called me while filming in Los Angeles, to make sure I was okay alone ," she recalled. Support for BLACKPINK's Jennie poured in to this day during The Idol promotions. Jennie revealed her eldest 'sister' at BLACKPINK, who first started acting, Jisoo praised her beautiful appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

The relationship between BLACKPINK personnel is indeed like family, considering that Jennie has been together for eight years. "And that support continues when I promote the series that will be broadcast. Today, Jisoo sent me a chat saying that I look beautiful.

She is very happy for me, we have a good family." Meanwhile, The Idol series starring Jennie BLACKPINK will air on HBO on June 4. Fans can look forward to BLACKPINK's Jennie appearance as backup dancer Lily-Rose Depp who plays a pop singer.
