BTS' V reveals a secret story while preparing for a solo album with Min Hee Jin, CEO of the ADOR agency that houses the girl group NewJeans. In the midst of preparing for his solo album titled "Layover", V revealed the story behind the scenes. When it was announced that he would be collaborating with Min Hee Jin, fans had high expectations, considering that this collaboration was unprecedented.
On August 11, 2023, BTS' V went live via the official fan platform to interact with fans. As the last member of BTS to make a solo debut, V's intention is to share the news directly with his fans and spill the beans on his preparations. During the broadcast, V specifically mentioned his work with Min Hee Jin, the chief producer behind NewJeans works.
He attracted attention by stating, “The work process this time is really unique. It's so natural. He (Min Hee Jin) captures a mood that I really like.” V further revealed that one day he was called by Min Hee Jin to come somewhere, then he took a picture of V just like that in a natural atmosphere. "It was the first time in my life. I was surprised.
As soon as I got there, without any preparation, it was completely natural. We worked happily," said V as quoted from KBIZoom on Sunday August 13, 2023. V further added, "I didn't think it was a photo shoot, I was out for a picnic, to have a look, and suddenly, a photo was taken." V said that he believes that photos taken naturally are good, and he believes that ARMY (BTS fans) will also like them, raising expectations.
Meanwhile, Min Hee Jin explained about his collaboration for BTS' V solo album. “There was a musical style that I wanted to propose to V. Based on that, I made a current track list taking into account his tone and vocal style. Our opinions aligned quickly. V's vocals and visuals, which are simple but touching, will leave an impression," said Min Hee Jin.
Recently, BTS' V has announced the schedule for his solo debut with the album "Layover". He released music videos for the songs "Love Me Again" on August 10, 2023 and "Rainy Days" on August 11, 2023. Next, V will release the music video for "Slow Dancing" on September 8, 2023 while the full album "Layover" will be dropped on the same date.
