The film 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' is back at the Trans TV Cinema. This comedy-adventure genre film will be broadcast on Wednesday September 27, 2023, precisely at 21.00 WIB. First broadcast in 2017, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is the third film from Jumanji which was very popular in the 1990s with Robin Williams as the main star.
His second film, 'Zathura: A Space Adventure' was released in 2005. This time, director Jake Kasdan was given the mandate to work on Jumanji. His previous works include the films 'Sex Tape' (2014), 'Orange County' (2002). He has also directed the comedy series New Girl which earned him an Emmy Awards nomination in the best director category.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle features several famous actors as main stars. Just mention Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. Also appearing are Karen Gillan and Rhys Darby and Alex Wolff. Just like the first film, 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' opens with a little flashback footage of the 1990s, when a teenager discovers the Jumanji game which sucks him into the game.
The plot is accelerated to 2017, Bethany is a social media enthusiast, Spencer the bookworm, Martha is geeky but naughty and soccer star, Fridge. The four of them accidentally get into trouble on the same day and the four of them are punished for cleaning a room that will be used as a computer lab. There, Fridge discovers a strange game: Jumanji.
Feeling annoyed and bored of being punished, the four of them decided to play the game. When the four of them chose the characters in the game and the game started, strange things happened. Starting with Spencer, his body slowly turns into a hologram and is sucked into the game. Spencer was thrown into the Jumanji game with the body and strength of Dr. Smolder Bravestone, the character he had chosen.
The three friends followed with Bethany as Professor Shelly Oberon, a geographer, Fridge as Moose Finbar, a zoologist and Martha as biologist, Ruby Roundhouse. Trying to overcome the panic, the four friends discover that they have to save Jumanji to get out of the game. The welfare of Jumanji itself is threatened because the stone that has been protecting the place is stolen and misused.
However, it is not easy to complete the game because every time they complete an obstacle, the next obstacle will be even more difficult. Plus, they only have three lives in the game while they have to face a group of motorized hunters, the Jaguar and the crazy Hippo.
