The latest news comes from former EXO member, Kris Wu, who was caught in a sexual harassment scandal. Kris Wu's appeal was rejected and he faces up to 13 years in prison. On Friday November 24, 2023, the Third Intermediate People's Court in Beijing upheld the initial decision of a 13 year prison sentence for Kris Wu.
The former EXO member from China was charged with rape and group promiscuity. In this way, the appeal submitted by Kris and his attorney was rejected. "In addition, he organized and participated in indecent activities, making him a major perpetrator of group promiscuity." The panel of judges emphasized that the facts admitted in the initial decision for Kris Wu were clear and the evidence was also convincing.
Previously in July 2021, Kris Wu was reported to have raped 30 women, some of whom were minors. According to Chinese influencer Du Meizhu, who claimed to have been harassed by Kris Wu, he carried out his actions while the women were drunk. Kris Wu denied these accusations.
