Mutiny is an action thriller film that will take the audience on a tense adventure. This film attracts Jason Statham, one of the Hollywood actors who is a 'custom' action film star. Directed by Jean-Francois Richet, Mutiny presents a story filled with exciting shootouts and conflict with Jason Statham playing Cole Reed.

Mutiny will follow the story of Cole Reed who suddenly finds himself in a difficult situation after his billionaire boss dies in front of him. Cole is forced to go on the run and tries to uncover a network of criminal conspiracies that cross international borders. Lionsgate has acquired the film license to Mutiny . 

Production on the film is scheduled to take place in the UK in September, involving Statham and production company Punch Palace Productions, along with Marc Butan. Director Jean-Francois previously directed the film Plane starring Gerard Butler, Mike Colter, and Tony Goldwyn. 

This film did not win the Academy Awards, but was successful in receiving a positive response from the audience. With a score of 78% from critics and 94% from audiences on the Rotten Tomatoes site, this film received good appreciation from various groups.

In terms of box office , the film grossed $74.5 million worldwide, including $10 million in its opening weekend domestically. Apart from that, he also directed the films Assault on Precinct 13 (2005), Mesrine: Killer Instinct (2008), Mesrine: Public Enemy No. 1 (2008), Blood Father (2016), and The Emperor of Paris (2018).

Audiences can count on one thing, they won't have to wait too long to see the new action film starring Jason Statham. Even though he is 56 years old, Jason remains productive by playing roles in various films from different franchises. 

In 2023 alone, he will appear in several well-known films such as Fast X with Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa, Meg 2: The Trench , The Expendables 4, and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. He is also slated to reprise his role as Deckard Shaw in the upcoming Fast 11. Reportedly the film received an interesting update from director Louis Leterrier.
