NewJeans is confirmed to be a guest star on the 2 Days & 1 Night event. The girl group will appear with the members of the fourth season of 2 Days & 1 Night to carry out a series of various activities in Cheorwon County, Gangwon.
The presence of NewJeans as guest stars emerged for the first time since photos circulated of the members filming the event on social media. The production team even confirmed NewJeans' presence and announced the broadcast schedule for the special episode.
"It's true that NewJeans will appear in 2 Days & 1 Night. They recently finished filming and their episode will air in mid-June 2024," said KBS2, quoted from Newsen via Naver on Wednesday May 15, 2024. "Please look forward to further details, including their travel destinations through this event," they continued.
However, Hyein was the only one who did not appear to be taking part in filming for the show which has been broadcast since 2007. This follows news that the musician is currently recovering from a minor leg injury.
Minji et al's appearance on 2 Days & 1 Night will be their latest appearance after previously appearing on a number of other variety shows, such as You Quiz On the Block, Idol's Physical Race, Halmyungsoo, and ChimChakMan. Meanwhile, NewJeans is also busy with its comeback schedule and Japanese debut.
NewJeans just released the songs How Sweet and Bubble Gum on May 24. The singer of the song Ditto is planning to release two other songs entitled Supernatural and Right Now on June 21. ADOR as the agency even confirmed NewJeans' world tour plans which will start in 2025.
