The action thriller film Assassin Club, directed by Camille Delamarre, will be available on the HBO GO streaming platform on June 15, 2024. This film tells the story of Morgan Gaines who plays his profession as an international class elite hitman.
He received an assignment from his superiors to kill a European human trafficking king named Luka Lesek. While preparing to shoot, Morgan was ambushed by another sniper, causing his shot to miss and Morgan's location being revealed. Morgan flees while the sniper kills Luka.
After the incident, Morgan took a break and spent time with his girlfriend, Sophie. However, the situation worsens when a hitman, Alec Drakos, tries to kill Morgan. After successfully killing Alec, Caldwell's boss revealed that more killers would come so Morgan had to complete the mission by killing several targets in various parts of the world.
Things become even more complicated when the targets turn out to be trained assassins assigned to take him out. Morgan identified his targets as Anaselm Ryder, Pablo Martinez, Yuko, Demir, and Falk with unknown identities. In a Bosnian prison, Falk kills Demir and sends his thumb to Leon, a French police officer tasked with tracking down the hitmen.
Leon reveals that this contract was funded by an anonymous person to find his father's killer. On the other hand, Morgan was contacted by Falk who offered to work together to find the mastermind behind this contract. In a tactical and thrilling chase, he must use all his skills to uncover the truth and save his life against the clock.
For viewers of Crazy Rich Asians (2018), of course Henry Golding's face is familiar, where he plays the charming and twisted character of Nick Young in the film. Henry is a Malaysian actor, model and presenter. He also co-starred in A Simple Favor (2018) with Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.
