TWICE's Dahyun has received another offer to star in a feature film. Quoting from Soompi on May 13, 2024, Korean news outlet Xportsnews reported that the Taiwanese film ' You Are the Apple of My Eye ' will be made into a Korean remake, and Dahyun has been cast as the female lead.
Responding to the report, JYP Entertainment as Dahyun's agency said, "Dahyun has received an offer for the Korean adaptation of 'You Are the Apple of My Eye' and is currently reviewing it." 'You Are the Apple of My Eye' is a popular Taiwanese romantic film directed by Giddens Ko, and attracted a lot of attention from the public at that time.
This film tells the story of Ko Ching Teng (Chen Tung Ko), a troublemaker at school, and Shen Chia Yi (Michelle Chen), an honor student assigned to watch over him. The story starts from their school days until 15 years later. If Dahyun accepts the offer, she will play the character Shen Chia Yi from the original work, an honor student who is greatly admired by fans of the original film.
