SNSD's Tiffany recently discussed filming her first kiss scene in the Korean drama ' Uncle Samsik ' which was released on May 15, 2024 via the Disney+ platform. Consisting of a total of 16 episodes.
'Uncle Samsik' tells the story of the friendship between Uncle Samsik/Park Doo Chil (played by Song Kang Ho) and elite youth Kim San (played by Byun Yo Han), who aspire to build a prosperous country where everyone can live well. In this drama, Tiffany plays the character Rachel Jung, a director at the Albright Foundation.
Rachel Jung meets Kim San, who dreams of a national reconstruction project in Korea, and she is attracted to Kim San's ambition to rebuild the Korean nation. “Being able to appear on 'Uncle Samsik' still feels unreal and like a dream.
Even though this is my second project after 'Reborn Rich', I still can't believe it. "I am very happy and grateful," said Tiffany as quoted by Allkpop on Wednesday June 26, 2024. Furthermore, Tiffany also mentioned her first kiss scene as an actress. In 'Uncle Samsik', Tiffany has a kiss scene with actor Byun Yo Han.
"I did my first kiss scene in 'Uncle Samsik'. Senior actor Song Kang Ho kept joking, saying, 'The atmosphere is good'," said Tiffany. She added, "Because I was the last one to join the cast, I felt a lot of pressure and tried to stay focused, which made me calmer than usual."
Tiffany also hilariously described the kissing scene as almost like an action scene because she found it quite difficult to do. "It wasn't just a kiss scene, it could be called an action scene. Byun Yo Han's beard made my face swell. We had to shoot a lot with different breaths, so my lips were a bit swollen.
It felt like filming a group dance scene or an action scene," he said. Meanwhile, Tiffany received a lot of praise for her acting in 'Uncle Samsik', even from the director himself. According to the director, Tiffany has a good understanding of the language, and she gave many tips regarding English dialogue.
