PENTAGON's Wooseok, recently succeeded in surprising fans with the news of their group's reunion this year. Last year, the five members of PENTAGON officially left the Cube Entertainment agency after their exclusive contracts officially ended.
Even though they no longer have a relationship with their old agency, PENTAGON did not say they had disbanded. However, the group's activities and future became vague and unclear after that. Quoting from nme.com on Monday June 24, 2024, via a recent podcast broadcast, Wooseok talked about PENTAGON's activities this year and shared their plans for a reunion.
"The PENTAGON members are still in touch with each other, and we often meet. Seriously, we are not disbanding," stressed Wooseok. "Every member is doing their best amidst this situation. There are those who work hard with their solo careers, like me. There are also members who have entered the world of acting," he added.
Wooseok then said that they recently met to share each other's schedules, and hoped to find a suitable time to have a reunion. "We are thinking about September, October and November. Nothing has been decided or planned yet, but we agreed to reunite. Even though we don't release an album, we want to perform together," continued Wooseok.
On the other hand, one of the PENTAGON members, Kino, last month released his first solo mini album entitled 'If this is love, I want a refund' under the label he founded himself, NAKED. Kino performed the main song 'Broke My Heart' by collaborating with rapper and songwriter from the United States, Lay Bankz. The news of PENTAGON's reunion this year certainly makes fans happy.
They were confused by the departure of the members from Cube Entertainment, and preferred to pursue their respective solo careers elsewhere. Finally have the hope to see the group members perform together again. Even though fans are hopeful about the new comeback album, knowing the members are still in touch and planning meetings is enough to give them hope.
