BOYNEXTDOOR's Leehan will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities due to health issues. This was revealed directly by his agency, KOZ Entertainment. It was revealed that Leehan, who recently suffered from skin inflammation, has been advised by doctors to get plenty of rest while undergoing treatment.
As a result, Leehan will be absent from BOYNEXTDOOR's schedule this week, including their appearances at TMEA (Tencent Music Entertainment Awards), Venue101, and TheMusiQuest 2024. "Leehan recently visited the clinic for skin inflammation and was recommended to get plenty of rest along with treatment from the medical staff," KOZ Entertainment was quoted as saying by Soompi on Tuesday July 17, 2024.
They added, "Therefore, Leehan will not be able to participate in the TMEA 2024 5th, Venue101 and The MusiQuest 2024 performances scheduled for this week. We ask for your understanding as this decision was made for the artist's treatment and recovery."
The agency further stated that Leehan has a strong desire to participate in all group activities. However, his participation will be adjusted based on the circumstances, with his health being the top priority as recommended by the medical staff. "We will do our best to help Leehan so that he can return to his fans in good health as soon as possible. Thank you," concluded KOZ Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Leehan debuted with the boy group BOYNEXTDOOR under KOZ Entertainment in 2023. The boy group carries a daily life concept with easy listening songs. BOYNEXTDOOR debuted by releasing a single album titled 'Who!' in 2023.
In the same year, they released the mini album 'Why' and set their first record for successfully breaking into the Billboard 200 chart.
