WayV has just made a comeback with a new feel and like being reborn through their 5th mini album titled " Give Me That " with the title song of the same name on June 3, 2024. This song seems to bring a new color of music in this NCT sub unit that is different from the usual.
Starting from the music, lyrics, to the music video, everything seems fresher and more easily accepted by all groups, including non-fans like me. When I first listened to "Give Me That," I could feel Kun and his friends' stronger and more cheerful vocals. So that after the song ended, I could smile with them.
Through "Give Me That" WayV finally got their first trophy on a weekly music program after 5 years of their career because of the full support from many fandoms for their comeback this time. Of course this shows that not only fans, but many people like WayV's new color.
The tunes are cheerful yet sweet and depict reckless love. "Give Me That" shows someone who needs love from their crush and can't live without it. Maybe the girl can be fine without WayV, but not these five members. These lyrics sound clumsy but sweet at the same time.
The song also tends to be easier listening and more addictive than their usual songs, although "On My Youth" in the previous song was also quite enjoyable. It's no wonder that the refrain keeps playing in your head even though the song has long ended.
